The City of Pittsburgh Leasing Authority is pleased to announce the purchase of two (2) Pierce Saber Heavy-Duty Rescue vehicles for the City of Pittsburgh, Department of Public Safety, and Bureau of Emergency Medical Services.

These new rescues are identical and will become replacements for Rescue 1 and Rescue 2.

Both include:

  • PACCAR 510 hp motors
  • seating for 4
  • light towers
  • 22-inch front bumper extensions
  • Warn 10K winch
  • Whelen emergency and scene lighting
  • Side Roll and Front Impact protection
  • hands-free SCBA brackets
  • all vinyl CARE seats
  • Hi-Viz brow light
  • 18.5 feet non-walk in body
  • Amdor rollup doors
  • hatch compartments
  • Grover air horns, Q2B sirens

All equipment mounting will be done at the Glick Fire Zelienople Fabrication Shop once the units are completed.
